CVSA Newsletter

ITEMS is CVSA's newsletter information service for organizational members and our constituency of individual supporters and volunteers. To become a subscriber and receive the newsletters in print, please join CVSA as a member or simply become a subscriber to ITEMS. The subscription rate for U.S. residents is a donation of $15/year. Canadians and those abroad please add $10 for additional mailing costs. To send your order in, please call us, or see Contact Us page. For more information about becoming a member of CVSA, see Why Join CVSA page.

ITEMS reports and provides analysis of news related to the voluntary service field on a national and international level, reports on CVSA activitities, and provides stories about successes, struggles and accomplishments and challenges of individual CVSA member organizations that provide useful lessons and information to others with similar endeavors.

Many volunteers and volunteer organizations learn the hard way: through their own experiences, using trial and error. We find that wasteful and contrary to the basic principle of organization: that an organization is stronger than an individual. Collective experience is therefore also more powerful than that of a single individual, or for that matter, a single organization. If that makes sense to you, please join us.
